Aidan Roberts
Personal Background
Engineer, producer and musician Aidan Roberts is responsible for the recording, mixing, and/or mastering of over 100 local and out-of-state artists in the Colorado music scene. Despite his love for engineering, he started as a musician, playing piano from the age of five. At the age of thirteen, he picked up his first guitar and found his Mom’s old CD collection, where he soon began learning as many Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and AC/DC songs as possible. Now, he is an accomplished guitarist with a background in R&B, Funk, Soul, Rock, Jazz, Latin, and his own original music. He is currently the guitarist for the Hip-Hop Jazz Fusion band iies., local singer-songwriter Lauren Podjun, and the Latin Jazz group Ojo De Luna.
Engineering Background
Aidan found his love for engineering the way most engineers do, by recording demos for his bands in his basement. From what started as a small hobby, quickly turned into an obsession once bands from school started reaching out for tracking. During the peak of COVID-19, he decided to throw several live-stream shows with all the proceeds going to charity and was able to raise over fifteen hundred dollars alone during the hardest gigging season in the United States from his college students. After that, he quickly became known at school as the “home studio guy” and soon many records started to surface from his basement. After several albums, dozens of EPs, and many singles, Aidan decided to apply for an intern position at Colorado Sound Studios, where he now gets to work with some of his heroes.
