Studio Policies

 

Scheduling Studio Time:

Sessions are available 24/7 by appointment only. To schedule, call our office at (303) 430-8811 during our office hours of Monday –
Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. You may also email us at colosnd@coloradosound.com.

Booked Time:

You may arrive at the studio 10 minutes before your session start time. If you are bringing your own drum kit we offer a free 30 minute
load in. All equipment brought to the studio must be loaded out and all files must be bounced and saved before your end time; therefore, it is best practice to plan to start load out at least 15-45 minutes before your scheduled end time depending on how large
your set up is. You may choose to extend your session if the studio and engineer are available. The additional studio time will be billed in ¼ hour increments.

Your entire reserved time will be billed regardless of whether you are late or leave early, with a leeway of 1 hour at the end. For example, if you book a 6-hour session and finish your recording in 4 hours, you are still responsible for paying for at least 5 hours. This policy does not apply to 2-hour sessions, as we have a 2-hour minimum.

While we understand the importance of breaks and want to ensure your team has a productive and enjoyable experience, our pricing structure is based on the total time reserved, which includes any breaks taken during the session. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer discounted rates for time spent on breaks.

Deposit:

To hold each session time a 50% deposit is required. Until we receive your deposit, your session is considered tentative and may be forfeited to another client. This deposit will be applied to your booked session time(s) and the remainder of the payment will be due at the end of each session. Deposits are non-refundable however may be used for future sessions.

Rescheduling/Cancellation:

When you book a session with us and provide a deposit, we reserve that time just for you. We understand that plans can change, so if you need to cancel or reschedule:
If you cancel or reschedule more than 2 weeks before your session, there’s no fee.
Any cancellation or rescheduling made less than 2 weeks in advance will result in a fee equal to 50% of the session time booked.
Any cancellation or rescheduling made less than 48 hours in advance will result in a fee equal to 100% of the time booked.

Payment Terms:

We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, checks and PayPal. No recorded material or files can be released until balance has been paid in full.
$30.00 returned check fee will be charged for any returned check.
Overdue invoices will accrue at 1.5% interest per month and the client shall be responsible for all expenses that Colorado Sound

Studios may incur in collection efforts, including and without limitation to attorney’s fees and other related costs.

File Management/Liability:

Storage and regular backup of all recorded media and data during and after all sessions is the responsibility of the client. Hard drives are available for purchase at the studio for client media storage. The studio is neither responsible nor liable for loss, theft or damage to property brought onto the premises, including but without limitation to: personal property, vehicles, instruments, recorded media, data, hard drives, flash drives or any other media storage device.
